Prayer of God’s People

God who makes all things new, renew us, restore us, revive us again! We need your love, your assurance, your wisdom, and your guidance. We pray that your presence be felt in our worship today.

We know Lord that you are actively involved in our lives when we see men and women coming to the faith. We pray for those who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that they grow in their life of discipleship in word and in deeds through this church. Be with them as they meet with the Deacons today and may we be blessed by the hearing of their testimonies at next Sunday’s membership meeting. Watch over them and guide every one of their steps as they give their lives fully to you.

When we trust our lives into your hands, you grant us the privilege to witness all the different stages of life such as the beginning of new life in the birth of Allison Chan and Jay Ng’s new son, Jonah Thomas. We see that at the end of life such as the long and dedicated life of Pearl Chan that you have never been apart from us although there may have been times when we wanted to be far away from you. And when life throws us a curve ball, we take the necessary time to solve problems such as Bill Jang’s heart surgery tomorrow and trust our fragile lives in the hands of the medical team believing that you will be there too. We pray for Maureen Wong’s niece, Cindy Reinke who is hospitalized with uncontrollable high blood pressure that has caused swollenness and stroke-like symptoms. Bless her at this time of great need and strengthen Maureen and her sister Eileen as they comfort Cindy and waiting to hear what may have caused this.

Thank you God for blessing our church family and especially Wes and Sheryl Chan with a new grandson. Thank you God for the life and memories of your faithful disciple, Pearl Chan who is now with you in heaven. Thank you God for your able and loyal friend Bill Jang as we pray that you care for him tomorrow and grant him a speedy and successful recovery. Thank you God for families and close friends who come to the aid of loved ones who are struggling with ill health. Bless Cindy Reinke and restore her to good health.

As pilgrims and travelers in this life, Lord, hear our prayers and let all of us who need your forgiveness take hold of this good news found in Jesus Christ who taught us to pray together, saying, “Our Father…”

Offertory

Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. No one can serve two masters, you cannot serve God and wealth. (Luke 16:10, 13)

Thank you God, for all that you have given us. To you be honor and glory forever. We pray that all your blessings may make us daily more diligent to devote ourselves and all that we have to your glory and to the service of others. Amen.

Benediction

We have been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ;

God’s love and compassion will be with us always.

Courageously go forth in the name of the loving God

To respond with the same love to all who come home!

Amen.
