Prayer of God’s People

Gracious God, we come to worship to praise you for the countless blessings that we receive in our daily living even when we don’t notice them. For the air that we breathe, the water that we drink, and the balance of all the physical forces that allow us to live and proclaim how glorious is your creation, we give you thanks. Thank you for this caring and loving community known as your beloved church in the name of Jesus Christ who has made us one that we share this powerful love with others and particularly with those who are in need of life-saving grace and love.

We continue to labor in your name as faithful disciples when we are in season as well as when we are out of season. In this season of camps and retreats, we lift up Youth Camp as junior high and senior high youth gather to learn about the Bible and to walk the talk in their everyday life. It’s awfully hard for youth today to live a life of honesty and sincerity—lead youth today to measure up to such challenges and to begin living a life of active discipleship. We pray for the camp staff to lead and model the way of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

As our Creator and Maker, we are keenly aware of our limitations and frailty in life and when we are facing the trials of sickness and injuries, we pray to you for strength and endurance to perserveve and to become healed once again. We pray for Sarah Wong that she’ll recover from her knee surgery soon and will return to her service at church. We lift up…

And as busy and very committed people that we are, we seek for times when we can pray to you to discern your word and will for us. Lead us to not only petition our needs and wants to you even though Jesus has taught us to do that but moreover, teach us to listen to your still small voice that would reveal to us your plan for our lives and our church and for this world. All these things, we pray in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ who taught us to pray together, “Our Father…”

Benediction

You are a people of prayer. Go from this place as God’s holy and beloved children.

Sure that your prayers are always heard and answered according to the eternal plans and purposes of God.

Amen.
