Prayer of God’s People
Gracious Lord God, on this first Sunday after Easter, we continue to celebrate the joy of resurrection and life renewed! All around us, we see promises of the gift of life and the assurance that we are forgiven and saved for your kingdom’s sake. Thank you for the new life we see in Dylan Alexander Yeh, innocent of all the troubles in the world as well as a blessing to his parents and family. Lord, we all want to experience the freshness of new life just like a little baby.
Yesterday at our Mission Day in Chinatown, we were able to participate and experience the possibilities of renewing our community when we learn and become involved with the needs and developments happening in our neighborhood. We pray that our commitment to mission both at home as well as abroad will bring healing and wholeness in Christ Jesus.
Lord, in your resurrection from the dead, you showed us that you have conquered the sting of death forever. On Easter, we don’t have to worry anymore because all things are now possible with you. Today, we pray for Jenny Hu’s father as he remains comfortable and his families coming together to appreciate the life that he has. Be with…
At time of great distress, we are calmed by your peace. At time of great suffering, we know that you have also suffered for us as well suffering with us. At time of great doubt especially when we are at the door of heaven, we have nothing to worry about for surely you have promised us eternal life.
Thank you, O God, for all that you have done and for that that you will continue to do because you loved us so much that Easter can happen. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, “Our Father…”
Benediction
Believe that God does not expect you to do this all alone.
Believe and you will see God’s wondrous work!
Now may the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord lift up the heavens and be with you.
May the Lord makes his face shine upon you and grant you his everlasting peace.
There’s “No doubt about It!” Amen.
