Prayer Concerns

Prayer of God’s People

God of grace and glory, ruler of time and space, we are honored to know Jesus who named his followers to be your friends. You created all that exists; yet you can be known and addressed in prayer. Your power is known in the forces of nature, and your tenderness revealed in an infant asleep. Signs of your presence fill the universe, but we are calling on you to be present with us for these moments. Hear us, speak to us, fill our empty spaces with trust in your goodness, and draw us close that we might know your guidance.

We pray for the partners that we have at the New Life Center in Thailand who are engaged in life-changing ministries. Strengthen them with the resolve to eliminate human suffering and to enable and equip girls and women to use their gifts for your purpose. We pray for Rev. Peter Lee and his wife who are visiting our church this weekend that they would receive our warm and loving hospitality and would be able to hear your call for him to serve in ministry in San Francisco. Bless them as they discern your plan for them. Blessed with many babies and children, dear Lord, we give you thanksgiving for being parents and loving families and a large caring church family who are committed to teaching the love of Christ to everyone of these little ones. And Lord, we pray for those who are in need of your healing miracles that they would find health and wholeness today.

Gracious God, in these increasingly worrisome economic times, we thank you for the gift of work. Thank you for the opportunity to be useful and productive. We are grateful that we can earn a living to care for our needs and the needs of those who depend on us. In our work we can serve you through acts of kindness and helpfulness with co-workers and customers. Be with the unemployed and those seeking greater opportunities for service. Lord in your mercy, we pray as our Lord taught us, “Our Father…”

Benediction

In all your labors, the love of God surrounds you.
