Prayer of God’s People
In time of haste when noise abounds, in times of noise when thought is drowned, in times of thought when reflection is banished, in times of exile when we fail to sense your presence, Jesus, bread of life, we are still, always, and ever in your presence and you are present with us.
Let us pray.
Dear God, we have come today to make you a priority in our lives. In the demands of our daily lives of working, attending to our families, going to school, striving to make a living, and sometimes just trying to get by, we come seeking your word of love and purpose that would grant us life and meaning.
We pray for the life and courageous witness of this church and its role in proclaiming good news in Jesus Christ. We live out our discipleship in the many ministries that we have and pray that we are ever-faithful to your plan for us. We pray for the person whom you are preparing to serve with us as the Associate Pastor for English-speaking Ministries and that in your time such a humble servant will come. Lead us to participate in your kingdom work on earth.
At times of trouble and worries, we lift up to you those who are in need of miracles and encouragement. Continue to bless Gilbert Jing in his recovery from his leg injury, Anna Lee who is getting better from infections, Bill and Flo Chin as they regain their strength and return to their day to day life, Mr. Adbul Aleaf who has kidney cancer who is seeking for comfort and a miracle of healing, John Tom’s mother with poor health to regain her strength. Be with…
And Lord, you know us better than we know ourselves. In this time of confession, we pray that you will speak to us. Reveal to us those acts of reconciliation which are most urgent, for sins we have discounted, sins we have not acknowledged, or sins we may not even know of. Forgive us, we pray, and strengthen us for this great task. This we pray, trusting in your guidance, dear Lord and in the name of Jesus Christ who taught us to pray together, “Our Father…”
Benediction
Jesus showed up today and our worship is wild!
Go forward with blessing.
Speak God’s truth!
Receive God’s love!
Rejoice on this wild Sabbath!
Amen.
