Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! On this special day, the members and friends of the First Chinese Baptist Church in San Francisco congratulate Sunset Ministry in calling Rev. Gerald Mann as your new Lead Pastor to serve Christ in ministry and missions.
As Sunset Ministry begins its 11th year in witness to Jesus Christ, we will continue to pray for Pastor Jerry as he works in the Sunset District of San Francisco, as he sees the sunrise baptizing new believers in the Pacific Ocean, as he watches the sunset after a long day of faithfulness and work for the Lord.
As Ecclesiastes said, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” May every sunrise and every sunset remind you that your day is done and everything has been done for the Lord. We live in a world that is always changing and influx, but we know as Ecclesiastes said, “Whatever God does, endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; God has done this, so that all should stand in awe before him.” (3:14)
Jerry, may you continue to stand at awe before the Lord and for your obedience to Christ, God will bless you to be happy, to enjoy life, “eat and drink and take pleasure in all your toil.” (3:13) I look forward to more opportunities of being your supportive colleague in ministry.
