Prayer Concerns
Prayer of God’s People
Dear Lord, we are one family in Christ, one people of faith, and Christ’s witness in the world. We pray together that the world may be one in love believing that it is you who know us and love us, Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. Bless us in our worship gathering, inspire us in our dreaming, that we should be one in Jesus, loving as we are loved, serving as we are served.
As members and friends of this church that has been a faithful servant of the Lord since 1880, we pray that we would be equally faithful and dedicated to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ into the world so that all who have not been saved would know the grace and mercy from you. Through our giving of our time and talents, we also give our tithes and resources because all that we have that we enjoy on earth is still ultimately belong to you. When we place our pledges in the offering plates today, we pray that it would merely be a symbol of our commitment to give of our complete lives for the work of your kingdom.
O God, you know that our world suffers from a lack of hope and promising tomorrows. We pray for peace across our land and around the world. We pray for basic education, safe shelter, medical treatment, jobs and work so that your children may live up to their abilities according to your plans. Lead us to give to the World Mission Offering so that our missionaries can deliver these services to all four corners of the world. When the world is dark and hopeless, let us walk with Jesus Christ who is the Light of the World and the light of life.
For those who have faltered, we pray for a helping hand. For those who came so close to the finish line, we pray for endurance and stamina to go on. For those who are surviving disasters and trouble, we pray for miracles and renewal. And for those especially all of us here today who are in search for a Savior to believe, a God to trust and count on, a Friend who would never leave you, we pray that you would find Jesus Christ in our worship time this morning.
O God, have mercy on us, all sinners and forgive us for the sins that we have done. We pray in the name of Christ Jesus who taught us to prayer together, “Our Father…”
Benediction
We are one body, one bread, broken for the world.
We are one people, one sacrifice so that Jesus,
Revealed to us and through us,
May fill us with joy and make us one.
Let us walk in the light of the Lord!
Amen.
