Prayer of God’s People

Gracious God, we come into your house with singing and with praise for the many ways that you have blessed us this past week. We have had opportunities to taste the bounty of your harvest with the food on our tables. We have used gifts and talents that come from you that have brought good things to happen in the work that we do. We have received love and care from those who nurture us in our homes and communities that are centered in your love and mercies. For all these blessings both visible to us as well as those that are only visible in your sight, we thank you and continue to seek your guidance in our lives and your vision for our hopeful future.

The summer ministries of this church are the many ways, Lord that you grant us opportunities to read the Bible, pray for the discernment of your plan for our lives, and to fellowship as sisters and brothers in Christ. Thank you for watching over Day Camp in the past 6 weeks in order that the children around our neighborhood would know Jesus as their friend and Savior. Be with the Chinese Summer Retreat right now as they learn about your will and their faithful discipleship. Empower the directors and counselors of this year’s Youth Camp as they make final preparations for next week’s life-changing experience. May we be open to the leading of your Spirit in our lives and in this world.

Merciful God, there are times when your words of wisdom and your vision for growing ministries are especially appreciated. We are uncertain about the future of our sister Asian American Baptist churches in San Francisco as their church properties have come into question. But we pray that you make your presence and spirit known tomorrow morning as these pastors and church leaders gather to meet with the leaders of the GHC region with the hope of bringing an amicable resolution to this situation. Grant all of us listening skills as well as a strong voice based on our faithful and humble commitment to advance your kingdom in San Francisco and around the world.

As your loving children, we have come to hear your word and seek your healing touch. Bless those who are in need of mercy so that they may see your face. Bless those who are in need of a miracle so that they may trust in another tomorrow. Bless those who are in need of friends so that you may equip and empower us to be good friends in your name to all those who need loving fellowship through this faithful church today. We pray all these things in the name of our Lord, your precious Son, who taught us to pray together, “Our Father…”

Benediction

Let the Creator God speak along with you as you share this beautiful World with all you meet.

Let God the Savior speak for you this week as you share the written Word with all you greet.
