Prayer of God’s People

Moving God, not planted in one spot, one nation, or one denomination, we open our home, this sanctuary, to you today. Dwell with us. Receive our hospitality as we have received your blessing in our lives. May we tirelessly serve the world in your name, Jesus, redeemer and shepherd.

We lift up the variety of ministries that you have entrusted in us to carry out in the world. Thank you for watching over us over the course five weeks of Day Camp and bless the counselors and the staff as they prepare for this year’s Youth Camp that will begin next Sunday. May all these efforts glorify your name as more people of all ages come to recognize your love and plan for their lives.

For those who are in our community of faith and networks who are in need of your healing mercies, we pray for recovery and health. We ask for patience and the endurance to persevere and remain faithful to what you have planned for us. There are times when it’s not up to our wishes but to follow your leading according to your will. Bless…

Reveal to us a clear path and the obedience to listen to your word as the Long-range Planning Committee started their work yesterday and will continue in the coming months. Be with the Finance Committee as it works to prepare a ministry/mission budget for next year that will show that we trust you to always provide just as you have done for over 130 years.

We pray in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ from whom we have received the Good News that the Word made flesh still dwells among us and who taught us to pray together, “Our Father…”

Benediction

Christ himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

The end of worship is upon us.

Let us bear witness of reconciliation

In all season,

With all people.

Amen.
