*Welcome our candidate Visal Sok for the Associate Pastor of English-speaking Ministries position; preaching at all 3 services followed by a “Greet and Meet” time at 1:00 in the Fellowship Hall; welcome to his wife, Lindsey to FCBC!

Prayer Concerns
*Day Camp begins a week from tomorrow
*Discernment of the Spirit as Visal Sok and FCBC prayerfully decide on following God’s plan for him and for us
Prayer of God’s People
Gracious God, Maker of heaven and earth, shape us until all things are new, as we pray for your presence in our midst today and let us not be satisfied with the aims of the world. Instead, create in us a commitment to pick up the cross and follow you together to glory. In our singing, our giving, and our prayers, and through your Spirit, may we resolve to remain out of step with the world but in time with the heavenly chorus of all who gave, who died to live, and who lived for others.
For this family of God, for those who live the will of Jesus, those whose every thought, every action, is for others, whose hearts are set upon the glory of God, and who look for the reign of Christ with eagerness and longing, we pray for these hopes to be fulfilled. We pray for Visal Sok as he shares the Good News with us today and that you continue to strengthen him with your Word. And according to your plan, O God, lead us to celebrate the hope and prayers that we have to call Visal Sok as our new pastor. We lift up this weekend to you, Lord as we trust our lives and future in your hands.
For the family of God, those who serve without knowing your name, but without discrimination visit the sick and those in prison, who clothe the naked, give water to the thirsty, feed the hungry, whose hearts are given to the least of these, we pray that they will receive their reward and come to know you better, now and eternally. As we approach the beginning of Day Camp, we pray for the faithful leaders and dedicated counselors who will share the love of Christ in their actions along with their teachings.
For the family of God, those who are in need of your mercy and healing miracles, we pray for rest and comfort, strength and energy, and the positive outlook that everything that you have created yearns and strives for your divine plan to live in the Lord day and night. Be with…
Give us the grace, Lord Jesus, to hear you when you speak and upon hearing you, to receive you, and in receiving you, faithfully to follow you as you are, rather than as we would like you to be. All these things, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ who taught us to pray together, “Our Father…”

May the peace of the stars rising and setting across the generations,
The warmth of the sun nurturing and spreading life across the planet,
The clocklike regularity of the seasons, which are the same, yet always changing,
Give you comfort and insight into God,
Who us ever faithful, ever present, life-giving and unchanging,
Yet gloriously revealed through the action of the Holy Spirit
